Children should get the best

Not long ago Lingvista received a request to localize a fairy-tale. The assignment was quite challenging. We had to localize a Russian fairy-tale for children residing in the USA, the UK, Germany, and France. We carefully selected native speakers of the above languages with vast experience in literary translation, as well as in dealing with children. The task was to create the text in such a way as if it had originally been conceived within their native cultures. The results appeared to be gripping. Having compared the translations we realized how the images in all four languages differed from each other.

The client was pleased with the outcome and our team obtained the precious experience of working with material as interesting as a fairy-tale.
