8 standard pages per day; 1,800 characters with spaces or 250 words per page… Translators all over the world are aware of these figures and standards. And how many projects can be handled within one day? What are the standards? We can confidently say: there are NO such standards. We managed to accept, handle and deliver 60 translation projects for one customer within just two days! How did we cope? See below :)
We have been cooperating with foreign translation agencies for quite a while, so we weren’t surprised with a new order received from our German partners last week. We were requested to provide a German-Russian translation and accepted the task with pleasure. Right after that, we received another order, this time for Italian-Russian translation. “Fine”, we thought. “Let’s go ahead with this one as well”. While rolling our sleeves up, we got another request, for English-Russian proofreading. And here it comes; we only watched the number of new jobs growing: (2), (10), (19)… (26)…
Lingvista project managers ended up processing this customer’s requests with assistance from their colleagues. They helped to build new translator teams, since there were three equally required language pairs: German/Italian/English – Russian. Each text was not only translated, but also carefully proofread. We’ve taken a short break from the flow of projects just for a second, to tell briefly about what’s going on, and now we are ready to move forward, facing new challenges and achievements!
We express gratitude to Lingvista, LLC for the help in organization of the 3rd International Scientific Grade School Conference for Young Scientists…
